It's tough for the Australian squad to set fresh records.

The highest peaks have already been conquered.

This is the squad that has won seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to another six T20 titles, and earlier maintained 1,294 days undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, those for the record chasers, are all that remain for a side that has achieved everything.

The fact it required until Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to complete their first ODI chase over 300, reclaiming their record for the biggest in the women's 50-over format, is, frankly, a tribute to the bowlers that have worn canary yellow over five decades.

It's difficult for their hitters to possess a record if not afforded the possibility.

Ultimately, the consequence of Australia conceding 330 was skipper Alyssa Healy getting a chance to produce her latest masterpiece.

She reached fifty in 35 pitches - her swiftest at the World Cup - and her ton in 84 as she punished short deliveries, hitting 21 fours and three sixes.

By the time she was dismissed the team required another 66 at a run-a-ball - an achievable target now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"Chasing 330 runs is unfamiliar ground so I am glad we have the assurance to do that now," continued Healy.

"Ideally we won't need to repeat it but, if necessary, we believe we can do it."

These statements will be the last competing nations at this tournament want to hear.

In recent days a sense they will win from any position has become more firm - this triumph following win against Pakistan by 107 runs despite being 76-7 at one point.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before an encounter with old rivals England in Indore in ten days, by which point a semi-final berth may likely be confirmed.

It was in the semi-finals they were eliminated from the previous year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - a game Healy was absent due to damaged tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the first time at an important competition.
